Awash in asshole parkers at the gym.

I'm not sure what the reason was tonight, but man, people were parking in non-parking spots at the gym tonight. The gym has been oddly crowded this week. I'm really waiting for these jackasses to give up on their New Year's Resolutions, but that's a rant for the other blog.

Without further ado, the jerks at my gym, parking in non-parking spots tonight.

How does that happen?

Another submission from Shawna. I'm woefully late in getting it posted, but that's because I suck. She said this is in the parking lot at O'Reilly Auto Parts in Elk River.

It's fairly mindboggling. Thanks for sending it in, Shawna!

"I know ... WalMart ... enough said."

Today's submission comes to us from Shawna, who witnessed this gem at what I'm guessing is her local Walmart, northwest of Minneapolis (I'm going by what I've gleaned from Facebook, so forgive me if I'm wrong).

First, kudos to Shawna for getting the Walmart sign in the picture. Excellent work!

Handicapped parking spaces are considerably larger than regular parking spaces. Then again, that is a ridiculously enormous pickup. Is it not only extended cab, but also extended bed? Does such a think exist? Here's another angle. Judge for yourself.

Thanks to Shawna for the submission. I'm glad our rapidly (yet not rapidly enough) disappearing snow isn't stopping people from parking like stupid jerkfaces. I'm trying to look on the bright side, you see -- it's blog fodder, if nothing else.

Keep sending them in, y'all.

"It's a flippin' mini"

Oh my God, another submission! This one comes from James (or, at least that's what his e-mail says). James says, "Really? At the Good Samaritan Society  National Campus in Sioux Falls and she's a manager."

There are a lot of things wrong here. First is James's salient point -- it's a Mini. It's a tiny car. You can't part it in a proper parking spot?

If I was a generous person, I'd note that the old parking spot lines are kinda visible and hey -- maybe she got confused. But those old lines are barely visible and the new lines are super clear. If I was still being generous, I'd note that the minivan (and obviously the other cars, too) are not parked properly. That, however, is not really so much being generous to the Mini driver as it is an indictment of all the other people who cannot properly park their cars.

This lot is pretty much and epic parking FAIL all around.

Thanks James!

I am not the only person who notices jerks parking poorly.

Our friend Joel spotted this jackass parked in front of the driveway to the alley behind Common Roots Cafe.

My apologies to Joel, and y'all, for holding on to this for more than a week. I've been slacking so much lately. I have a backlog of horrible pictures from work and even one from the gym. I might get to them eventually. I'll try!

It's heartening to know that even though the great melt has begun, people are still parking like douchecanoes. It's always good to know there is blog fodder out there.
